Manual Discounts

You can create preset discounts to be used at the checkout. Please make sure you have the necessary permission (Manage Safe/Shelf Inventory) for the Discounts tab to be visible.

How To Create a Manual Discount

To create a discount, do the following:

1) Go to Marketing -> Discounts.

On the Discount List page click the New button.

3) Select Manual as the discount type, fill out the Discount Name field, select and type in either a percentage or a dollar amount for the discount. Set the status to Active if you want the discount preset to be visible on POS, or Inactive if you want to hide it, and then click the Save button.

Once a discount has been created, you can edit  or delete  it.

When all is set, you will see the Cart Discount pop-up at check out on Indica POS, where you will be able to apply it to the cart. You can enter a cart discount manually, either $ or %, or select one of the presets created earlier. Cart discounts do not sum up but overlap one another. If you apply a cart discount of $10 and then apply another $5, the total discount value would be $5 because it is the last cart discount you have applied.

 Preset discounts cannot be used as Item Discounts.
