How to Import Inventory Data with a CSV file

IndicaOnline will help you to quickly and easily transition from another platform and import your existing inventory.

Import products from another store

When you have a CSV file taken from another store or obtained from a different source, your CSV file must match our sample file in order to import successfully. If the format does not match, or if there is an invalid or a missing CSV header, the import fails.

During the import, the products are not duplicated, and if there are too many products in the file, it may take up to 10 minutes to import.

To import your inventory data, do the following:

• Log in to your IndicaOnline account, go to Inventory on the left-hand side of the screen and click the Product List tab on top of the menu list;

• Click the Actions drop-down button on the right-hand side of the Product List page and select Import Products;

• In the Import Products pop-up you can click on the sample file link first to download a CSV file to see an example of requirements. Click the Browse tab to upload the file and then Save to import your inventory data;

• When the file has been uploaded, you will see the list of imported products.

Since our focus is on the CSV file format, we considered developing the ideal CSV table for you, so it can be especially helpful when our customers plan to navigate through it for their own advantage.

Title	Description
Name (mandatory field)	The name of your product must be unique. Example:  Crazy OG
Description	Product description in HTML format.
Price Type (mandatory field)	Price type is a price classification that can be specified for an item. NOTE: Only units or grams (lower case) can be entered.  Example: units or grams
Category (mandatory field)	The product category is typically created by the business to organize products.  Example: Flowers or Edible
Strain Type	A variety of a plant developed by breeding. You can enter strain types such as Sativa, Indica, Hybrid or None in this field.
Price per Piece	The price per piece is the retail price per piece or per item. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot); no dollar sign. Example: 11.99
Price Weight per gram	The price per gram is the retail price per gram.
Price Weight per eighth	The price per eighth is the retail price per eighth.
Price Weight per quarter	The price per quarter is the retail price per quarter.
Price Weight per half	The price per half is the retail price per half.
Price Weight per ounce	The price per ounce is the retail price per ounce.
Price per Joint	This is the retail price per 0.5 g pre-roll.
Shelf Quantity	This number is the total of the current inventory quantity you have physically available and what is still on your facility shelves.
Shelf gram prepack qty	This is the current prepack quantity available in grams (1g).
Shelf eighth prepack qty	This is the current prepack quantity available in eighths (1/8oz).
Shelf quarter prepack qty	This is the current prepack quantity available in quarters (1/4oz).
Shelf half prepack qty	This is the current prepack quantity available in halves (1/2oz).
Shelf ounce prepack qty	This is the current prepack quantity available in ounces (1oz).
Shelf Joints 0.5 qty	This is the current pre-roll quantity available.
Is MMJ Product  (mandatory field)	“Marijuana products” means products comprised of marijuana or concentrated marijuana and other ingredients that are intended for use or consumption, such as, but not limited to, edible products, ointments, and tinctures. NOTE: This field can only contain letters Y or N, which is equivalent to Yes or No.
Indica%	The field indicated the percentage of Indica in the product. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot).
Sativa%	The field indicated the percentage of Sativa in the product. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot).
THC% (mandatory field)	Concentration or amount of THC as a percentage (%) value. If you do not have this piece of information, enter 0. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot).
CBD% (mandatory field)	Concentration or amount of CBD as a percentage (%) value. If you do not have this piece of information, enter 0. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot).
CBN% (mandatory field)	Concentration or amount of CBN as a percentage (%) value. If you do not have this piece of information, enter 0. NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, a fractional number if needed, and a period (a single dot).
Cost	The cost per unit is a total price incurred by a business to sell a unit of a specific item.  NOTE: This field can only contain numbers, and a period (a single dot); no dollar sign. Example: 11.99
Is On Shop (mandatory field)	This field indicates if the product is currently on Potify.  NOTE: This field can only contain letters Y or N, which is equivalent to Yes or No.
Is Free Shipping  (mandatory field)	This setting is only used for online store integration. When turned on, this product, when ordered by itself, will be processed with free delivery/shipping.  NOTE: This field can only contain letters Y or N, which is equivalent to Yes or No.
