Download & install the Zebra driver to your Windows desktop or laptop (not compatible with Mac).
- The Zebra Setup Utilities Software will be needed to complete this task. (Later, we will also utilize this tool to configure the printer connectivity which will turn your printer into a wireless printer & connect with your iPad).
- Once on the Zebra - Printer Setup page, go to “Software: Zebra Setup Utilities for Windows” & download
Once Zebra Setup Utilities Software has been downloaded, we will need to run & open the software from your desktop.
Once open, The InstallAware Wizard for the Zebra Setup Utilities window will appear.
Click Next.
The terms of the license agreement will appear. Check the box to agree to the terms and click Next.
We will now install the Zebra Setup Utilities. A default location will appear, but we have the option to store this in a specific file or folder. Click Next.
Then select a program folder name or accept the suggested folder name. Click Next when you are done:
The InstallAware Wizard will display a message stating it is ready to configure Zebra Setup Utilities on your device.
Click Next.
*A separate page will appear where a progress bar will display and will auto-close once the task is complete.
Once the task is complete, the below window and notice will appear. Check the box to agree and click Next:
Lastly, a message stating Wizard for Zebra Setup Utilities would like to Run will appear. Ensure Run Zebra Setup Utilities & Read Readme are checked. Click Finish or Next.
The Zebra Setup Utilities application will automatically appear like so:
We will now click Open Printer Tools and navigate to the Action tab. Click Calibrate Media & Send, then close the Tools window.
You should see the printer feeds about 4 labels. Calibrate Media is used to ensure the labels are positioned correctly within the printer:
Next, we will need to configure the Printer’s Connectivity. Let’s click on Configure Printer Connectivity. The Connectivity Setup Wizard will appear. Please follow the Images below to ensure you have the correct settings.
Select Wireless & Next (note: Bluetooth may not function best with our software):
We select DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), leave Hostname blank & click Next:
Wireless Radio Settings: Select your Bandwidth (the typical bandwidth is 2.4GHz/5Ghz. We recommend verifying this information with your internet provider or tech person) & Next:
Here, we will define the country. Click Next:
Wireless Settings: Enter your Wifi name in the ESSID field & select the type of security mode your network is related to (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK):
Security Settings: Select String as your PSK Type and enter your Wifi Network password in the Preshared name field & select Next:
Please select Next here,
Next here.
Send data: Selected Printer & click Finish:
The ZD410 should restart on its own. If it does not, restart the printer manually and wait for about 15-30 seconds to allow it to stabilize.
You should see two steady and solid green lights for both the Status and Network indicators.
To connect the IndicaOnline POS App to this printer;
Open the IndicaOnline POS app
Go to Menu > Hardware > Label Printer
A list of the available printers should appear. Sometimes the ZD410 will only display the IP address here but it will remain under the Zebra section of this page.
We will click on the printer and click Set as Default, then Test Printer.
After a label prints, your wireless Zebra ZD410 printer is now ready to print labels from your iPad!
