With the Fulfillment improvement, you can view if certain products have already been taken to fulfill some orders. This means the product items are reserved but not sold yet. It is possible to reserve items within the Dispatcher mode only.
It is possible to sell reserved products by scanning their barcodes if staff members use Non-Dispatcher mode.
The Fulfillment update makes it possible to reserve products, see how many items are available and how many can be sold:
Reserved Quantity is the amount of a product set aside for all your orders created within Indica POS under Dispatcher Mode and on Potify. Such orders have “Unfulfilled” status since you have not selected the package that this amount will be taken from. Upon fulfillment, when you scan the barcode for Metrc items or Package Control enabled items, the reserved product quantity becomes On Hold Quantity until the orders are either completed or returned to the shelf.
Available Quantity is the total amount of the product physically available in all your offices.
Sale Quantity is the total amount of the products that can be sold. It is counted as Available Qty minus Reserved Qty.
To view how much product amount you physically have and how much is aside, do the following:
IndicaOnline POS
- Sign in to your IndicaOnline POS account, go to Menu ⇒ Inventory ⇒ Products and select the product you are interested in;
On the product Management page, you will see the representation of the Available Qty and Reserved Qty in two colors: blue and orange. If you want to transfer product quantity or adjust it, only the available quantity will change, the reserved will remain the same.
For example, we want to transfer 4 pcs of the product weight 87. You can see that now we have 12 pcs available and 12 pcs reserved.
As we transferred 4 pcs, only the available quantity has changed - from 12 to 8. The reserved quantity is still 12 pcs. This means that we will only be able to sell 8 pcs from this shelf.
If we attempt to transfer a reserved product quantity, we will get the Out Of Stock alert on the Fulfillment screen notifying that we do not have enough product amount to complete the order. We need 9 pcs and we have available only 8 pcs. It will not be possible to add 9 pcs, but we can tap the Edit Order button and edit the item amount if the patient agrees to the change.
