You can change Brand Property Type to differentiate Internal Brands from External Brands on the Company level.
How to change Brand Property Type
To change Brand Property Type, do the following:
1) Go to Inventory -> Brands.
You can see Brand Product Type near the name of the Brand.
Property Type — a Brand property, denoting peculiarities of this Brand origin, intended use, or further processing plans.
Internal Brand — Brand that belongs to Company (manufactured by Company itself).
External Brand — Brand, that does not belong to Company (purchased from Vendor).
Internal Product — Product that Company produces itself for further retail process.
External Product — Product that Company acquires for further retail process (assigned to External Brand or its Product Class is Custom).
2) You can also use the Filter to display the required Brand Product Type.
Click the Filter Products dropdown, then in the Select Filter dropdown click on the Property Type, and select either Internal or External.
Then click the Add Filter button.
Active filter will be displayed under the search field.
3) To change Brand Property Type for some of the Brands, select checkboxes for desired Brands, or select the Select All Brands checkbox.
Then click the Bulk Action dropdown and select Change Brand Property Type.
4) On the Change Brand Property Type pop-up decide and specify the Property Type for the selected brands. Please note that Property Type affects the brands only for the particular company.
Click the required button.
